           Wake Me Up Tarot was created by Rattanawadee Sukapad(Aniu) and written by Roshni Sachdev.
 It was Inspired by the original RWS tarot, then re-drawn to fit and resonate more with today’s world.
A new tone of colors, diversities of character, emotion and some mysterious elements are also interpreted in the design. The creator’s environment and passion to work on goal projects have influenced the design of the deck.

The Three of Pentacles, for example, was drafted by the artist’s upbringing in a Traditional Thai music instrumental home. The Four of Cups, Five of Cups and Seven of Cups are adapted with modern day technology. The Courts Cards are also a representation of the archetypes of people that we may see or meet in our everyday life. The Major Arcana, are drawn to be more down-to-earth interpretation.

The card back was inspired by "moon phase" and "awakening"

Blue and Black represent a night sky, subconsciousness and intuition.

     The High Priestess was one of the first designs Aniu did a year before the real deck happened. She is the representative of Wake me up tarot. Mysterious, intuitive and connected to another realm. As for her third eyes which is an “insight”, The back of the card design was also inspired by this same energy.
     The Star is one of our highlight cards. There were some ideas that came to collaborate and interpret in one form, such as hopeful, the spark of inspiration, and healing which adapted from cartoon and animation effects. The character gets close up to redesign as a star on stage.

      The aces were designed to the similar form as RWS. We bring hands to the main composition. Depending on any contexts such as a hand from the divine, opportunities from others, as well as our own hand.

      Ace of pentacles mostly express the same idea of RWS. By the strong keyword of ‘new door is opening’, the passion by 2 of wands along the path.  Ace of cup tells a story about the celebration of the new achievement and inspired by a date night, expressed through the water overflowing.  The ace of wands emphasizes the opportunity we’ve got on the table, taking action by passion or the growth of new possibilities. Once the pencil is written, the growth spreads out.

      Some cards bring women as the main character and weight on some other aspects and emotion. Inspired by the new era and feminine power and expression. For example our 6 wands, the beauty contest is one of Roshni’s interests. The crown action, confidence, endeavor becomes victory. The Live on social media gain some recognition from others.

      Girl boss energy as 9 of pentacles, which is always used with an independent woman who can conquer by herself. We bring the modern financial possibility to design as online marketing.

The queen of wands also got inspiration from social media, how she can express herself with irresistible energy in front of the media world.

      Combination of warmth and stability, the Abundance of material world and fulfilled environment.

The Queen of Pentacles was inspired by the word “wife material”. She is a full package and has so many potentials. Emotional mature and practical ways of living. The character is cooking to represent how she can nurture others. As well as the king of pentacles who is feeling ground on his stability and abundance. The concepts were brought to interpret as high-position/ high building and satisfying.

This version of ten of pentacles we bring Thai-chinese culture to convey. The moment of a big family, family business and dining table is one of life's abundance.

     There are few different styles of commitment and collaboration meaning we bring to design. 

The two cups are inspired by a three-legged race which needs harmony between 2 people. The step and rhythm they step at the same time, the compatibility between 2 people. We use the word “partnership” to signify this to all kinds.

     The lovers use the same composition as the devil. The both of them bring hand to chest as “heart to heart conversation” to express the deep feeling and passion between two people.

The 10 of cups is one representing the advance of commitment. This design has the same energy of an original, a little emphasis on emotion fulfilling as overflow water and fountain.

     The wheel of fortune was designed similar to the original but reduced in details. We added the sky changing color interpreted as the divine is changing in the situation, also the golden sand clock bringing another side of time. The tower was one we have recreated, the image may emphasize on relationship but it can be read in any contexts. It was interesting about how foundation and sweet time was planned to happen and suddenly it all collapsed by a trigger. By the way, it may not have been strong at first. The hanged man was inspired by being absent-minded, laying down, thinking silently in their head. The environment was a design twist from the original idea, the safe zone as bedroom but upside down.

      The sun brings enthusiasm and happiness to express. The fun park, the unicorn and colorful environment seem to make the feeling more touchable. The magician really was inspired by Drag queen and their multi talented skills. The moment in the picture is the time before they start to create. They take action and start to express themselves. Writing in a notebook is the same idea manifested by writing.

     The Emperor and empress looks similar to the RWS original, with some change in the environment and new era. He sits on a throne, indoors, looking at how others work for him and he has everything he wants.

The empress was designed to look luxurious, the golden wheat field in the environment, also a golden egg ass creation.
